In 1998, Keith Greenwood decided it was time that he establish football for children of all ages in the town of Falmouth. Keith spent countless hours providing information to parents, to our town and school administrators and spent all of his spare time making sure that football was available to anyone who wanted to play the sport.
Keith created the Falmouth Football Boosters and played an extemely important role as our President for many years.
There were many roadblocks placed in his way but he never allowed them to stop the progress of the program. When others would give up, Keith would find another way. Keith provided enrollment projections for the Falmouth School Board 9 years ago and thanks to Keith, we have surpassed those projections. In 1998 we started the program with 24 players.
As of 2008, Falmouth Football will involve over 200 student athletes. Thank you Keith Greenwood.
In 1999, our first Falmouth High School football coach established and presented the first Keith Greenwood Award. This award is presented each year to a high school player who demonstrates good sportsmanship, exhibits a positive attitude both on and off the field, and unconditionally supports his teamates and the coaching staff. This player seldom receives public recognition but is a very important member of the team.
