Meeting Minutes
April 23, 2007
Present: Zareh Derhagopian, Anna Geary, Don Geary, John Fitzsimmons and Tricia Tetreau
Meeting called to order at 7:06
· Miscellaneous Budget Items
We will again fund the FEF Spelling Bee at a cost of $ 300.00
Nick Ford was selected to play in the Lobster Bowl. We ordered a plaque which will be kept at the High School. This was a $ 150.00 cost.
· Coaching Updates and Opening
MS still a question. This was advertised this past weekend. John will participate in the selection process. The HS will have 4 vs. 5 coaches this year.
· Finalize Registration Date
Registration date set for Tuesday, May 1st for HS only since we have not done anything in the way of communication for the program as a whole. This will give us more time to get communications out via Principal Notes, etc.
Youth Registration TBD. Zareh will contact the coaches and let them know that registration will be split up and we’ll pick a date from there.
· Booster Board Openings
Vacancies:
HS VP
Youth VP
MS VP – the vacancy left by Kevin Kingry will be filled by Bill Ryan who will move up from the Youth program
· Summer Flag Football Program
Dave Ciraulo contacted Zareh on this and we have opted not to proceed given the numerous logistics that need to go into this.
· Turf Field Project Update
We hope at this point to rely on the public process. Anne Goggin will be presenting to the Town Council this evening.
· Open Discussion
John pointed out that we still have time to pursue the Golf Tournament if we change our mind. We would need to have someone willing to drive this with John mentoring that individual.
Locker Room - need a licensed electrician to move Fuse Box.
Lots of general discussion RE: Merchandise. We are considering handing out t-shirts at registration given the aged surplus we have on hand.
